SPECIAL PAVIA-VENICE SPEEDBOAT RACE
The 29th of May 2005 is a historic date for international inshore motor boating, as on the occasion of the PAVIA-VENICE SPEEDBOAT RACE, the longest speedboat race in the world, started way back in 1929, the record of an average speed of 200km/h along the whole route was broken.
The ZEC catamaran hull built entirely of composite materials, power-driven with a 2500cc power unit able to deliver 380hp, and equipped with, obviously ZEC, low and high pressure thermoplastic tubes, has indeed achieved a magnificent feat; it has brought the average over the whole route to 203.34km/h. Renowned pilots and technicians in international motor boating have been pursuing this not so easy goal for twenty years now, with increasingly sophisticated and high-performance boats equipped with the most recent technological inventions. After two long years of work, the ZEC catamaran has succeeded in accomplishing it, an exploit that will go down in history.
